Something exciting coming SOON

What is a creative journal?

Similar to a traditional journal, a creative journal is a safe space for you to process, express and release your thoughts, feelings or experiences. It is your space to use as you please.

In coming together as a community we hold each other accountable and offer a safe and supportive space for a beautiful self care activity.

All you need is a journal and any art supplies that are calling your name (watercolor, markers, colored pencils, collage material, etc).

You can read more about creative journaling in this three part blog post: one, two and three.

WHAT A GROUP SESSION WILL LOOK LIKE…

  • Person practicing yoga on the sandy beach near the ocean, sitting cross-legged with hands in a mudra gesture.

    Somatic Check In

We will start with a quick somatic check in where I will guide you through a short mindfulness practice.

This will help to create a safe space for you to engage in your art-making proces and also serve as information to know how you are coming into the session.

  • A cluttered art workspace with various paintbrushes, markers, and a plastic water bottle on a table covered with paint stains and paper towels, with a colorful palette of paint in the background.

    Art-Making

Then, I will introduce the theme for the week. Where you will then work on your creative journal independently.

Some possible themes include: self love, inner child healing, personal power, exploring different emotions, and many more!

It is entirely optional if you choose to create art based off of the theme for the week or if you rather create on your own.

  • Three young women sitting on a bench outdoors near tulip flowers, engaged in a conversation, with one woman clutching her knee and another with a hand on her head.

    Share and Discuss

After some time, we will all come together to share (if you wish) what you made and what came up for you.

I will also offer some reflective questions which you can use as a way to process your art on your own if you do not wish to share with the group.
